About the beer ...
Originally brewed as a seasonal beer for Thwaites Bi-centenary in 2007, Wainwright was so popular that is now available all year round. The beer is named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn in 1907, and is a great thirst quencher featuring a wonderful bright, blonde colour in the glass and delicate fruit flavours, which appeals to both men and women alike. Wainwright is a refreshing straw-coloured beer with soft fruit flavours and a hint of sweetness from the fine malt. Utterly drinkable!
